The polka dot bag

This was a serious challenge for me, and still, I went all in for this one as a gift for my mother. It’s not a very elaborate bag, but it has its details, especially the lining on the inside that I regret adding because of all the hand sewing I did (I have no clue how to use a sewing machine and don’t have one). But in the end, the effort was worth it.

The main reason for such motivation on making this bag was nothing less than Molla Mills’ book, Modern Crochet. When I found her Instagram account, I discovered one of my favorite types of crochet of all time. She gives so many excellent ideas of projects you can wear or use around the house, her patterns basically adapt to almost any kind of work you want to make, from pillows to baskets, from bags to posters to hang on walls… you name it!
